The deal
ZapRedact is a Chrome extension provided by Dashe Labs (“we,” “us”) that helps you find and redact sensitive information in PDF documents. By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Your account
You must provide a working email address to use ZapRedact. You are responsible for the activity on your account. One person, one account — do not share your license key.
Acceptable use
Don’t use ZapRedact to redact documents you don’t have legal authority over. Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the extension. Don’t use it for anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
Pro subscriptions
Pro plans bill monthly ($9.99/month) or annually ($79/year) via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. You can cancel any time via the “Manage subscription” button in the extension — cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
Email support@zapredact.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.
Free tier
The free tier allows up to 5 pages of redaction per calendar month. We may change free-tier limits or features with reasonable notice. Existing Pro subscriptions are grandfathered against price increases for at least 12 months.
No warranty
ZapRedact uses pattern matching and OCR. Both can miss data or over-redact. You are responsible for verifying redacted output before sharing it. We provide ZapRedact “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that all sensitive information will be detected. Always review your output.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Privacy
Your documents are processed entirely on your device and never reach our servers. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Termination
You can stop using ZapRedact and delete your account anytime. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes get 14 days’ email notice.
